Rainbow Documentary

In early 2023, Rainbow Community Care received the honor of being among four providers in the nation invited by the producers of Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid to be the focal point of a short-form documentary series titled "Hospice & Palliative Care: Serving Families with Honor & Compassion."

Viewpoint is an educational, documentary-style program that airs in prime time on public television stations and is also broadcast as regional news breaks on CNN, CNN Headline News, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News, Fox Business Network, TLC, Travel, and Discovery. They are dedicated to the mission of developing and distributing stories that seek to inspire audiences to act and change lives for the better.

On June 7, 2023, Viewpoint’s production crew spent the entire day filming at the Rainbow Hospice Care Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek talking with various people about the work we do to support patients and families throughout the entire journey with aging and serious illness.

And, on February 26, 2024, the 3-minute, 29-second story featuring Mr. Quaid and Rainbow was released to public television stations throughout the United States.

As part of our collaboration, the Viewpoint team took footage from that day and created a 5-minute, 38-second Rainbow Community Care documentary which you can watch below.
