Rainbow Celebrates CNAs
The CNAs that work at Rainbow Community Care are a special group of people. We are thankful for everything they do for our home hospice or inpatient center patients and their families and their hard work and dedication each day.
Without CNAs, Rainbow wouldn't be able to fulfill its mission of providing compassionate care and comfort for our patients. Our CNAs often have the most frequent interactions with our patients, caring for their essential needs like bathing, dressing/changing, eating, hygiene, personal cares, assisting with mobility, and providing much needed emotional support. In honor of National Nursing Assistants Week (June 13-19), we recognized all of our caring and compassionate CNAs at Rainbow.
Here are a few of them. Pictured in the back row are: Tina Tietz, Jayme Strasburg, Bryanna Hoefler, Tricia Meyer, Noelle Villegas, and Luann Erdmann (CNA Manager). Front row are: Gretchen Varsik, Jade Finona, Beth Snodie, and Taylar Zirbel.
We want to emphasize the unwavering commitment our CNAs show in transforming empathy into meaningful, hands-on care. This year's theme from the National Association of Health Care Assistants (NAHCA) was "We'll Be There For You," and that's especially true at Rainbow Community Care. The CNA profession began around World War I because of the increasing demand to treat and care for wounded soldiers, and it is still going strong today. An estimated 1.3 million CNAs are working across the United States and that number is projected to grow by 8% in the next ten years.
Rainbow's CNAs provide essential support that significantly enhances our patient's quality of life by offering compassionate end-of-life care and emotional support to patients' families. Rainbow continues to honor all our CNAs and the incredible work they do each day.
