Rainbow Releases Major Publication on Living Well
Rainbow Community Care, one of Wisconsin’s few remaining local, independent, and non-profit providers of hospice, palliative, and guided care, is pleased to announce the release of Caring Choices: A Roadmap for Enhancing Life's Journey.
Written in collaboration with the National Partnership for Healthcare & Hospice Innovation (NPHI) and Partner Plus Media, the free resource guide discusses how Rainbow's six different programs help make the challenging stages of life easier and more meaningful. These programs include hospice care, palliative care, advance care planning, grief support, parish nursing, and volunteer services.
NPHI is a membership organization comprising 100+ not-for-profit, community-integrated hospice and palliative care providers. Member organizations are dedicated to ensuring patients and their families have access to care that reflects their individual goals, values, and preferences. Representing providers from across the United States, NPHI and its members help design more innovative and effective models of care, advocate for comprehensive and community-integrated care customized to meet each person’s unique needs, and build collaboration between national thought leaders, decision-makers, and other healthcare stakeholders to improve hospice care.
Partner Plus Media supplies print and digital marketing solutions to thousands of businesses and non-profit organizations in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
“Growing old or living with a serious illness is inherently difficult, but there are things we can do to make this part of life easier and more meaningful, provided we allow ourselves to think about them, talk about them, and take action on them,” said Carol Brown, RN, Rainbow’s President & CEO. “In this guide, readers will find lots of great information about what it means to live well as we age and become seriously ill.”
In many ways, Caring Choices is the most comprehensive booklet ever published on the topic in rural South Central Wisconsin. It also includes extensive journalistic (human interest stories) and empirical (research-based) evidence of Rainbow’s care quality.
